Antalya has been visited by over 8.5 million tourists since the beginning of the year

Tourist flow to Antalya in January-October this year amounted to 8 million 616 thousand people.

Due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) pandemic, only 3.5 million people visited the “tourist capital” of Turkey last year.

However, this year the tourist flow to Antalya is growing against the background of high rates of vaccination, as well as compliance by tourist facilities of the resort city with measures to counter coronavirus.

The “tourist capital” of Turkey continues to attract the attention of tourists from all over the world with its nature, sea, sand and historical monuments.

Despite the pandemic, Antalya remains one of the best holiday destinations for both local and foreign tourists.

Thanks to the Safe Tourism certification program, Antalya has established itself as a safe holiday destination.

The tourist season continues in November.

Tourist flow to Antalya began to grow after Russia lifted restrictions on flights to Turkey on June 22 after almost 3.5 months.

At the moment, Antalya is visited by an average of 100 thousand foreign tourists a day on weekends.

At the same time, Russia accounts for the bulk of the tourist flow to Antalya.

In January-October, the flow of Russian tourists to Antalya increased by 145 percent compared to the same period last year – up to 3 million 448 thousand 706 people against 1 million 402 thousand 579 in the same period in 2020.

Antalya also remains a favorite tourist destination for Ukrainians.

In third place – Germany – 1 million 164 thousand 338 tourists.
