Antalya will host a large-scale event to present the tourism industry in Turkey as the country started to ease the quarantine measures amid a fight against the new coronavirus pandemic.
The event will be held under the slogan “Rediscover Turkey.”
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism said that Turkey was the first country in Europe to implement the “Healthy Tourism certification” system.
The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, previously held talks with colleagues from the countries from where the largest number of tourists come to Turkey for vacation.
The next step was the organization of a large-scale event with the participation of the heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of foreign media from 60 countries. A two-day meeting will be held on June 19-20 in the tourist capital of Turkey – Antalya.
Participants of the event will be told about preventive measures taken in Turkey in connection with COVID-19, including in airplanes, airports, and tourist facilities.
