Global COVID-19 cases top 230 million

The number of COVID-19 cases in the world exceeded 230 million, according to the Worldometer data website.

It reported that the death toll from the virus has reached 4,7 million, while the global infections stand at 230.98 million.

The United States has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 43,404,877.

The U.S. is followed by India (33.5 million), Brazil (21 million), the U.K. (7.5 million), Russia (7.35 million), France (6.97 million) , Turkey (6.93 million), Iran (5.49 million) and Argentina (5.25 million).

COVID-19, first detected in December in 2019 in China’s Wuhan province, has spread to 192 countries and regions.

Over 4.79 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered worldwide so far.
