Istanbul Airport is the leader in Europe in terms of the number of flights served per day

Istanbul Airport in Turkey ranks first in Europe in terms of the number of flights operated per day.

This is stated in the report of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL).

According to EUROCONTROL, 686 flights were served at Istanbul Airport on June 10.

This is followed by Frankfurt Airport with 640 flights, and Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam with 623 flights. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport ranked fourth with 616 flights, Madrid-Barajas Airport – fifth place – 562 flights, Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport – sixth place – 503 flights.

According to the report, 16,777 flights were flown across Europe on June 10, a record daily since September 3, 2020.
