Istanbul Airport named ‘most efficient’ in Europe

Istanbul Airport, with a passenger traffic of over 40 million, was named “Most Efficient Airport in Europe” by the Air Transport Research Association (ATRS).

Istanbul Airport continues to receive awards from reputable institutes of the aviation industry due to its powerful infrastructure, efficient operation, advanced technologies and outstanding experience in the field of travel, IGA, the airport’s operator, said.

Istanbul Airport, with an annual capacity of 90 million passengers, is Turkey’s largest air harbor and the most important global transfer hub in the region.

The ATRS operates within the framework of the World Conference on Transport Research (WCTRS).

The airport received the highest score on criteria such as management strategies and operational efficiency, individual cost, cost competitiveness.
