Turkey will start vaccinating musicians and people involved in movie and TV production starting Wednesday, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said Tuesday.
“We are starting to vaccinate another group within our vaccination program. Musicians, film and series production teams will be able to start getting vaccinated from tomorrow,” Koca said in a tweet.
The minister said the government will work to rid Turkey of COVID-19 outbreak as soon as possible by adding new professional and age groups every day.
In a follow-up tweet, Koca said vaccination of university staff will also begin Wednesday.
“Tomorrow, we will start the vaccination of our faculty and university staff so that our universities can start face-to-face education in September,” he wrote.
Two COVID-19 vaccines are currently available in Turkey, CoronaVac made by Chinese company Sinovac and Biontech-Pfizer, while a third, Russian-made Sputnik V, received approval for emergency use.
