Türkiye eyes further tourism growth after 2023

Türkiye eyes further tourism growth after 2023

The head of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), Firuz Baglıkaya, said that the number of foreign tourists and the country’s tourism income will continue to grow after 2023.

In an interview with the Anadolu Agency, Baglykaya said that Türkiye continues to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

“Each region and every corner of Türkiye has a different tourist value. There is no region where you will not find historical or cultural monuments. We have a very valuable, very important potential. Türkiye is a tourist country that has managed to support and enrich this potential,” he said.

Baglykaya noted that the diversity of the tourism sector helped to attract many tourists from abroad.

“The country provides all types of tourism services, including health, gastronomy, and cruise. We have a very rich product range and in this context, Türkiye strongly competes with other countries. We have the opportunity to analyze in which regions the number of tourists is increasing, and in which regions it remains unchanged or decreases,” he said.

According to Baglykay, there are positive forecasts for 2023 and beyond.

“There is a growing interest in travel around the world. Europe is an important market. The largest number of tourists traveling outside the country falls on Europe. We are located in the center of this region and in a very accessible position. I am sure that the number of foreign tourists and the country’s income from tourism will continue to grow after 2023,” he added.
