Ukraine’s FM praises Turkey’s security measures to protect tourists

Turkey is taking very serious security measures to protect tourists from being infected with the new coronavirus, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba said.

Kuleba attended the opening ceremony of the relief of Taras Shevchenko in the Park of Ukrainian Culture.

Kuleba expressed satisfaction that the flag of the Crimean Tatars was hoisted next to the flag of Ukraine in the Park of Ukrainian Culture.

“Crimea must be freed from Russian occupation. I am sure that Crimea will be free again,” said the Ukrainian Foreign Minister.

Upon completion of the opening, Kuleba met with Ukrainians living in Antalya.

In a conversation with reporters, the Ukrainian minister recalled that he was in Antalya for the first time.

“I myself have witnessed what serious security measures are being taken in the area. Last year, 1.5 million Ukrainian tourists visited Turkey. This year, this figure may decline because of the coronavirus pandemic. However, at the moment I do not see any obstacles to visiting Turkey, in particular Antalya,” Kuleba said.
