More than 70% of people aged 18 and above received at least one dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 in Turkey, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced Friday.
Over 43.6 million people got one dose of the vaccine in the country as of Friday.
More than 32 million adults were fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
In total, nearly 82.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered across Turkey.
Turkey currently offers two different jabs for vaccination: CoronaVac developed by the Chinese company Sinovac and Pfizer-BioNTech.
The country’s rapid vaccination campaign was launched at the beginning of the year.
