With the lifting of flight restrictions imposed by Moscow as part of measures to combat the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), Turkey has again begun to receive Russian tourists.
The number of Russian tourists who arrived in Antalya from June 1 to June 8 on 644 flights amounted to 174 808 people.
The “tourist capital” of Turkey – Antalya – attracts tourists from all over the world thanks to its natural beauty, sea, sun, sand, cultural and historical monuments.
Since the launch of the Safe Tourism certification program, the resort has also become one of the safest holiday destinations in the world.
According to the Department of Culture and Tourism of Antalya, the number of tourists visiting the region since the beginning of the year exceeded 2 million people.
