Turkey’s ambulance planes bring patients from 53 countries

Since the beginning of the year, 154 patients from 53 countries of the world have been brought to Turkey by air ambulances of the Ministry of Health.

The Turkish Health Ministry is taking steps to organize emergency care for patients around the world.

Turkish citizens who cannot receive proper treatment in the host countries also receive assistance through the department.

Aair ambulance is used in cases when transportation of patients by land or sea is impossible.

Air ambulance planes in Turkey are equipped with all the necessary equipment to help patients.

Since the beginning of the year, most patients on air ambulance planes have been delivered to Turkey from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (14), Kosovo and the Netherlands (10 each), France (7), Azerbaijan and Lebanon (6 each). Five Turkish citizens were delivered from Libya, Ukraine, Belgium, Portugal and Tanzania for treatment to Turkey by special air transport, and four each from Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia and Iran.

In addition, ambulance planes brought 3 patients each from Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Uzbekistan, as well as 2 patients each – from Iraq, Bulgaria, Georgia, Somalia, Great Britain, Serbia, Turkmenistan, Albania, Oman, Hungary, Moldova, India, Maldives , Mauritania, Kuwait and Liberia.

One citizen was delivered from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Djibouti, Greece, Kenya, USA, Jordan, Switzerland, Sudan, Poland, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Algeria, Gabon, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Morocco and Equatorial Guinea.
