Turkey’s national carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) handled 5.5 million passengers in July, and its occupancy rate increased to 71.2 percent last month.
In particular, the occupancy rate for international THY flights was 69 percent, domestic – 83.1 percent.
The volume of cargo transported by Turkish Airlines in July this year increased by 20.5 percent compared to the same month of 2019 to 162 208 tons.
In January-July, THY’s passenger traffic amounted to about 20.1 million people, the flight occupancy rate reached 64.4 percent. The occupancy rate of international flights in the specified period was 62.5 percent, domestic – 76.1 percent.
In January-July, the airline’s freight traffic increased by 26 percent compared to the same month in 2019 – up to 1 million 73 thousand 632 tons.
