Antalya is one of the leading tourist destinations in the world, has received more than 5 million foreign tourists since the beginning of the year. These data are provided by the Antalya Culture and Tourism Department.
The number of tourists arriving in Antalya by air from January 1 to August 27, 2021, increased by 253 percent to 5,050,701. Whereas for the same period in 2020, the “tourist capital” of Turkey was visited by 1,428,943 tourists.
The number of tourists who arrived in Antalya by air from 1 to 27 August 2021 reached 1,656,019. For the same period in 2020, this figure was 672,424 people. Thus, the growth of tourist traffic was 146 percent.
The largest flow of tourists from the beginning of the year was recorded in Antalya from Russia – 34.61 percent.
This is followed by Ukraine – 20.59 percent, Germany – 11.95 percent and Poland – 5.39 percent.
