Touristic Mugla Turkey’s most vaccinated province

The staff of the Health Department of Mugla Province in southwestern Turkey is making every effort to timely distribute vaccines against COVID-19 among the population.

Mugla is the leader in the list of 81 provinces in Turkey in terms of the rate of vaccination of the population.

Mobile first-aid posts make it possible to vaccinate citizens even in the most remote settlements.

Mugla’s medical staff have been working with dedication since the first day of the pandemic. Provincial health officials provide vaccines to all sectors of the population.

In addition, those who wish can get vaccinated against coronavirus at points organized by the Mugla Health Department in state hospitals and medical centers.

The medical staff sometimes have to travel to the most remote and remote corners of the province on foot in order to keep the pace of vaccinations at bay and to follow a given program.

To date, 978,971 people have received the coronavirus vaccine in the city of Mugla.

In addition, in the villages of Mugla, personnel inform the population about the measures that should be taken to prevent the spread of a dangerous infection.

Iskender Gencer, head of the Mugla Provincial Health Department, told Anadolu Agency that just like in other parts of Turkey, the medical staff in Mugla is doing everything possible to ensure timely vaccination of the population.

According to him, the rate of vaccination in the province, as in other parts of Turkey, is quite high.

“However, we mobilized all our efforts not for the sake of being the first in Turkey, but for the purpose of adequately fulfilling the assigned tasks. The Governor of Mugla rendered great support. Since there are so many villages in the province, the gendarmerie and the police are helping to distribute vaccines,” he added.
