Turkey agrees to procure 270 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine

Turkey agrees to procure 270 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine

A total of 270 million doses of vaccines against the novel coronavirus infection will be delivered to Turkey under previously signed contracts, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said.

“We have signed contracts for the supply of 100 million doses of Sinovac vaccine, 120 million doses of BionTech and 50 million doses of Sputnik. In total – 270 million doses of vaccines, this figure is more than 3 times the population of Turkey,” Koca wrote on Twitter.

The minister notes that the government continues to make every possible effort to ensure that the population has access to a sufficient amount of vaccines.

“If the citizens, whose turn has come to get vaccinated, get vaccinated, the ravages of the pandemic will end this summer.”
