Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V is expected to be delivered to Turkey in early May.

This is one of the vaccines developed on the basis of a viral vector. The vaccine development is supported by the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

Sputnik V has been approved across 60 countries around the world, with a total population of 3 billion.

In Russia, over 12 million people received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, and about 8 million people completed vaccination.

“Turkey intends to purchase 50 million doses of Sputnik V in the next six months. The first deliveries are in May. It is also planned to transfer technologies for the production of this vaccine in Turkey, ”the head of the Ministry of Health said.
