The Turkish-developed COVID-19 vaccine, Turkovac, will be used before the end of 2021, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said.
“Turkovac will be used with an emergency production approval before the end of this year,” Koca said.
Koca said that Turkovac’s small-scale production has been carried out and said that urgent use approval is expected for large-scale production.
The minister said that many countries, including Indonesia and Malaysia, are waiting for Turkovac because they find it reliable.
Koca also said Turkey wants to be one of the first countries to use an anti-COVID drug as was the case with the vaccine.
“We want to be among the countries that use the drug the earliest,” Koca said.
He also shared the information that the hospital load has started to decrease in the last week.
