Rodin, the Sculptor of Passion – A Selection from the Private Collection of Erbil Arkin is running at Antalya Culture and Arts until July 31.
It has 22 sculptures made by Rodin, including iconic ones such as The Kiss, Eternal Spring and The Falling Man.
The exhibition has been organized for the 140th anniversary of the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO), with the sculptures coming from the Arkin Rodin Collection, the largest known Rodin collection in the Eastern Mediterranean.
“While planning to hold a Rodin exhibition, we found out that Arkin, one of our members, has a Rodin collection in the TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus),” Davut Cetin, head of ATSO, told Anadolu Agency.
“We contacted him and were able to host this remarkable event. This is one of the best exhibitions we’ve ever put on,” he said.
He said the event has garnered immense interest and made a “great contribution to cultural tourism.”
Seray Kantarcioglu, event coordinator at Antalya Culture and Arts, said it was a matter of pride to “bring a world-famous artist and his works to Antalya.”
